Mucus aspiration catheter with filter is designed to remove secretion from the upper respiratory tract of newborns. It is used to ensure free breathing and/or to obtain material for microbiological examination.

The transparent container allows visual assessment of the nature and volume of the material obtained.

The container has a capacity of 20 ml. Material for microbiological studies can be transported in the container included in the catheter.

Due to the presence of a hydrophobic filter, the catheter is recommended for oral aspiration, the filter prevents the possibility of cross-infection of personnel, including HIV. The catheter without filter is recommended for use with a vacuum aspirator. Allowable vacuum level is 105 mmHg.
